Vubascape Resibond Resin Bonded Resin Only is a two part solvent free resin, designed to provide an incredibly strong bonding layer for natural gravel aggregates. Each unit of Resibond is capable of covering 20m2. Vubascape Resibond Resin Bonded Resin offers numerous advantages to alternative systems; it is quick curing even in low temperatures, offers excellent long lasting flexibility and is very easy to apply for DIY users. It provides a strong bond to typical external surfaces such as concrete and tarmac.


Resibond is particularly suitable for use in prestige developments to give a luxury appearance and in conservation areas where harmony with the surrounding environment is important. Resibond has BBA Highways approval, and therefore perfectly suited for surfacing pedestrian crossings, cycle paths, bridges, walkways, stairs, car park decks, ramps, flooring, airport runways and more.

Vubascape Resibond Resin Bonded Resin Only is a two part solvent free resin, designed to provide an incredibly strong bonding layer for natural gravel aggregates. Each unit of Resibond is capable of covering 20m2. Application Ensure the surface is clean, dry and free from contamination. Mix both components thouroughly and apply with a serrated squeegee within 10 minutes Having applied the resin, broadcast your selected aggregate immediately onto the surface at an application rate of 10kg per m2, ensuring that the resin is totally blinded by aggregate. When the material has achieved its initial set (approx. 1-2 hours at 20°C), the excess aggregates may be removed by light brushing. After 2-4 hours, more rigorous hand brushing can be employed or a vacuum suction method used. Please consult the cure schedule below for timing guidance.

  • How far does one unit of the resin bonded kits go?
    Each unit covers up to 20m2. This is based on 1-3mm gravel size. For 2-5mm we recommend a resin application rate at 15m2 per 31kg
  • How long will Vubascape Resibond last?
    Resin bonded gravel's life spans will depend on usage. Typical examples of expected life expectancy are as follows: Footpaths and domestic driveways: 8 - 15 years, car parks 8-10 years.
  • How should I mix Vubascape Resibond?
    Resibond can be mixed with a standard drill and paddle, ideally heavy duty. You will pour the full content of the activator to the larger resin container and mix thoroughly until homogenous and both component are fully combined.
  • What is the shelf life of this product?
    The unopened shelf life is 12 months. Once opened, the product should be used within 2 weeks. 0 pot life after mixing resin. Aggregate can be used indefinitely on the assumption of storage in a clean and dry environment. 
  • Is Resibond resin bonded or bound, or even bounded surfacing?
    Resibond is a Resin Bonded finish applied at 1-5mm nominal thickness, depending on the size of aggregate chosen. It is commonly known as a broadcast or 'scatter' system with a highly profiled finish. Resin Bound on the other hand is trowel applied to a flat and semi smooth aggregated finish, from 12 to 18mm thickness. Our Resinset Resin Bound system is porous and SuDS compliant when used with the appropriate base build up whereas the Resibond Resin Bonded system is non porous.
  • How do I apply this resin bonded screed?
    Once both components are thoroughly mixed, apply with a serrated squeegee within 10 minutes. Having applied the resin, broadcast your selected aggregate immediately onto the surface, ensuring that the resin is totally blinded by aggregate. When the material has achieved its initial set (approx. 1-2 hours at 20°C), the excess aggregates may be removed by light brushing. After 2-4 hours, more rigorous hand brushing can be employed or a vacuum suction method used.
  • How long before I can traffic the Resibond once applied? 
    Light traffic after 2-4 hours, heavy traffic after 24 hours.
